Thread: File permissions

    Question File permissions

I host had a cgi wrapper installed by default. This saved any mucking around with permissions, etc.

Now, I am not using the cgi wrapper. The script that I am using creates files on the server. However, it seems that ownership is set to 'nobody' (rather than my account name). Is this correct?

    Thanks in advance.

Yeah, scripts are run as 'nobody' and not as yourself. But if you need a script to create files in a folder, just change the chmod setting of the folder to 777.
